Enjoy winter fun at the Sled Hill at Lost Lake Nature Park! This sled hill offers an excellent spot for outdoor recreation during the snowy months. Gather your family and friends, grab your sleds, and make some memories on the slopes! Warming shelter available during scheduled hours. Our seasonal Ice-Skating Rink at Bear Creek Nature Park is open to visitors of all ages. Whether you’re looking for a fun family outing or a chance to practice your skating skills, we’ve got you covered. The rink is open based on ice conditions, and we offer skate loans and free skating lessons. Be sure to check out our Winter Newsletter for times and details about skate rentals and lessons.
Disc golf is a fun and accessible outdoor activity that people of all ages can enjoy. Residents of Oakland Township can borrow our portable disc golf baskets and discs for free! A fully refundable deposit of $100 is required.
Setting up your own disc golf course is easy and can be done in just 5-10 minutes using the Mach Lite disc golf baskets, which are lightweight and come with their own carrying case. Each set includes up to four baskets and four sets of discs, so you can create your mini course at any Oakland Township Park or even in your own backyard!

In 2011, we launched our first year of archery programming at this park, and in 2012, our active recreation fields became available for use. A picnic pavilion was added in 2021, offering a beautiful view of the athletic fields and archery range.
