1880 W Buell Road
Oakland, MI 48363
This 170-acre park was acquired in 2008 with Land Preservation Millage funds, protecting mature woodlands with vernal pools, open fields, small streams, and a variety of wetlands. The watershed divide between the West Branch of Stony Creek and Paint Creek runs diagonally through the middle of the park. Since 2018 we have been working with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Partners for Fish and Wildlife program to install prairie plantings, restore wetlands, and create habitat for grassland birds at this park.
Park at 1880 West Buell Road, 0.25 miles west of Lake George Road, to access over 2 miles of trails that wind through the special natural areas of this park.
