2210 Orion Road
Oakland, MI 48363
This 5.5 acre park was acquired in 2003 to allow for future trail connections between Bald Mountain State Recreation Area, the Paint Creek Trail, and Marsh View Park. Originally called Marsh View Connector, it was renamed Paint Creek Junction Park in February 2015.
The trailhead and parking which opened in 2022 provide improved access to the northern portion of the Paint Creek Trail. The trailhead development was funded by grants from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Funds of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, and The Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation; funds from the Oakland Township Parks and Recreation millage; and donations from the Friends of the Paint Creek Trail.
