About

Lost Lake Nature Park was the third park to be acquired using Land Preservation millage funds. 52 acres were purchased in 2004, and 5.88 acres added in 2008. The park is just east of Fox Nature Preserve, south of Predmore Road, between Kline and Rochester Roads. This park protects Lost Lake, an open oak woodland, a glacial landscape, and a diversity of wetlands.

Picnic near the 6-acre lake where dock-fishing is allowed (with a current fishing license) and enjoy the scenery. Wood ducks, herons, turkey and deer are just a small sampling of the wildlife you may see at this park. Trail hiking is limited, but if you’re up for a challenge, walk up the sledding hill to one of Oakland Township’s highest points. Great dragonfly watching in the warmer months!

Parking is available near the nature center, sled hill, and dock. The nature center in the lower level of the house is open for scheduled programs. The caretaker residence in the house’s upper level is not open to the public.
